KALAMATA

The port of Kalamata is the second largest one, after Patras, at the Peloponese. Among other things, it’s searched up from tourists with their sailing boats. Except the archeological sites, the region offers wonderful beaches outside the city. In 2009 the Archaeology Museum has been inaugurated at the "antica agora" in the old town nearby the chapel of Santi Apostoli. The museum brings together founds from Messinia of the micenic, classic, hellenic and byzantic eras.
